Gumtree is seeking development support to replace their outdated website. Migrating data from the existing site presents a challenge due to its foundation on a different technology stack.
As the prototype design is developed by the Gumtree team, periodic updates have introduced challenges in determining the definitive version, due to inconsistencies across different iterations.

The Solutions

A data audit was performed before the migration began. This involved reviewing the existing data structure, mapping the old schema to align with the new system, and developing custom scripts to support a smooth and accurate migration process.
The prototype is systematically reviewed each time an update is made to ensure all changes are accurately reflected. When Softwareseni identifies any discrepancies or inconsistencies between versions, the team promptly consults with the designer to clarify and resolve these differences.
