Ellaslist

Ella's List Uses Softwareseni to Leap Technical Hurdles

project images

Ellaslist started out in 2010 with just one mum – Yvette – and her baby daughter, Ella. Yvette wanted to discover and enjoy the best bits of her local community with Ella, and connect with other mums. But back then there was no curated family-friendly local guide for mums. So Yvette created ellaslist. Today, more than 300,000 parents across Sydney & Melbourne & Brisbane choose ellaslist every month to find the best things to do with kids, get ideas for days out, and discover new places to go.

What We Do

Project Description

Ella's List is a curated list of activities for kids. Established in 2010, more than 300,000 parents across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane visit the site every month.

In 2017 Ella's List reached out to SoftwareSeni. They had product and technical goals they needed to reach along with a timeline and a staff budget that made it look impossible. SoftwareSeni's developers worked as an extension to their team, implementing backend features that had been outside their technical scope and helping them achieve their goals and keep Ellaslist growing.

The SoftwareSeni team continues to assist them as a low cost development partner. Assistance includes helping them implement best engineering practices, improving code quality and taking advantage of a streamlined development process that shares the workload between their inhouse team and SoftwareSeni's developers.
